As funds permit, the Spanish American Organization (SAO) of Toledo, Ohio will contribute funds up to $1,000 per academic year to be awarded to a local student of Latino descent.
1. The SAO Scholarship will be presented annually to a college student who is of Latino descent and has demonstrated financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office, using results from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completion of the FAFSA is required for consideration.
2. Members of SAO, according to standards set by their membership, will choose the scholarship recipient.
3. The scholarship is nonrenewable and open to new and/or continuing students, awarded as funds permit.
